Hey friends. Don’t know if you heard, but it’s June. JUNE. Not sure how it’s possible for time to move so quickly, but here we are. A mere 6 weeks out from our move and the reality of a cross country road trip with three tiny humans ages 3 and under is starting to sink in. In all honesty, we are actually really excited for the road trip and are thankful that we can pretty much take as long as we need to get to NYC based on how the girls hold up along the way. I’m not, however, naive to think that a 18279872394 hour road trip with three little ones will be easy. Planning is/will be necessary for all of our sanity. That being said, I’m starting to feel the need to get started on said planning in hopes that this road trip could maybe even be, dare I say it, enjoyable, for all the little ones involved (and let’s be honest, the parents). I know my mind will be in a million different places as we start getting into the weeds of downsizing, packing, etc. So road trip planning starts now!
We are headed to Texas this week to visit my family and I just picked up a few things for the girls to keep them entertained on the flight, so I thought it’d be fun to round up the things I’ve got my eye on for our travels and share them with you guys! Hopefully this will be useful for your own summer travels. Also hoping it’ll help me feel more prepared for the trek come July. I just really need all the tips and tricks you have for very long toddler car travel?! They say parenting takes a village, and I’m assuming that includes road trip survival. Be my village, please and thank you.
